Chalet d’Aoste
Chambres d’hôtes in Aosta
Welcome
An old dwelling
in the centre of Aosta
To fully appreciate the charming nature of this old dwelling that today houses Châlet d’Aoste, it’s best to close your eyes and take a journey back in time.
The historic centre of Aosta was once surrounded by farmland and extensive orchards, and alongside the present day B&B flowed (and still flows) tranquil Mère des Rives or Ru de la Ville water channel, vital for irrigating crops.
Learn about the chalet
From those bygone days, the old house has wonderfully preserved its charming traditional Alpine architecture, lush garden plants and flowers, the peace and quiet that make it unique in its current urban setting.
Broad balconies made of old timber planks surround the sturdy outer walls while inside the guest rooms have been fitted out to create a relaxing, comforting atmosphere, using warm fabrics featuring Alpine designs, and furniture skilfully decorated by local craftspeople, not to mention all those important small details that guarantee a carefree holiday.

The charm
of ancient Aosta
Aosta is a treasure chest of architecture, history and good food.
The third Italian city for its number of Roman remains, Aosta has an astonishing wealth of sites open to visitors, such as the bridge at the city entrance leading to the triumphal Arch of Augustus, the imposing Praetorian Gates and theatre, the cryptoporticus and old streets calling to mind the Roman decumanus.
Over the centuries, this ancient heritage has been enriched by towers, churches, old dwellings and numerous other hidden surprises. Cultural initiatives and events have blossomed, likewise venues where you can enjoy an aperitif or discover the flavours of genuine local and national cuisine, besides an array of shop windows for those fond of quality shopping.
